I am the son of a mission minded preacher, but I did not grow up in a Preacher's home.  I did grow up in a Christian home.  My father was a Body and Fender Repairman in the U.S. Army.  He was saved when I was 2 years old and he made sure that I grew up to love the Lord.  I was saved at the age of 6 when he was stationed in Aberdeen Maryland.  I was taught by my father and many great preachers that my family attended as we moved to different places.

My mother started teaching Good News Clubs when we were stationed in Okinawa and I remember helping her cut out and prepare the flannel graph for her lessons.  This began my love for teaching children and telling Bible stories.

My wife and I met at a Youth Rally that hosted at Walsh Colorado.  We lived one and a half hours from each other but we managed to date for 2 1/2 years and were married in 1980.  We moved that fall to Springfield Missouri and attend Baptist Bible College for 2 years.  I thought that I would be an Elementery School teacher but God had other ideas.

I enlisted in the Army and served for 4 years.  During that time I completed my education and graduated from Liberty University.

After my term of enlistment was up I moved back to Garden City Kansas.  During a revival meeting God called me to preach.  I became an associate pastor at Fellowship Baptist Church and served for 3 years.  The church was moving in a different direction in ministry and so I began to search for where God would have me serve.  The doors would not open but I continued to serve Him and several years later I was in the right place to help the church and become the Pastor.  I have been the Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church since 2011.
